Bath Early Learning Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is licensed through the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to care for 50 children ages 6 weeks through entrance into Kindergarten. Creative Curriculum® is implemented in all classrooms. Located near the University College at Bath Brunswick, the building was recently renovated for child care. The space was designed to provide optimum learning environments for infants, toddlers and preschool children. The outdoor playground meets all safety and health standards.
The location of the facility allows for field trips to Winship Green, a nursing home adjacent to the center. Neighborhoods walks to the Bath Library offer the children opportunities to get to know their community. Classrooms for infants and toddlers and the central kitchen are located on the ground floor. Stairs and an elevator provide access to the second floor which houses preschool classrooms and the office. Nutrition is an important component and breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided at no additional charge. These meals meet the guidelines of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. The center is open from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, year round. It is closed between Christmas and New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after. |
